The construction of the new facility, housing the ancient and modern language departments, as well as IT suites and the School’s library, got underway during April 2014 and was completed on time and on budget.
The Language and Resource Centre provides the pupils with state of the art facilities, which include:
A digital laboratory where a variety of media such as audio, video, text files and language websites can be used;
Modern Languages classrooms fitted with interactive whiteboards to support learning of French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Russian and Japanese;
A fully equipped library with panoramic views across the South Downs and the School;
Dedicated computer suites for ICT (Information and Computer Technology);
New classrooms for the School’s Classics Department;
Additional classrooms, breakout rooms and learning support facilities.
