Royal Ballet School
Architect: Kemp Muir Wealleans
Forming extensive new student accom- modation and associated facilities for The Royal Ballet School.
The works included for extending the building footprint extensively to the rear and the construction of a new mansard roof level behind a retained Grade 2 Listed facade. This included the introduction of an extensive steel support frame set upon piled foundations. The building is fitted out to the highest standards and includes commercial catering facilities, voice and date installations and state of the art electrical and HVAC systems.
All of the work was undertaken (without complaint) on the corner of a busy central London street surrounded by residential properties and hotels.
